2006 Summer Camp Information

Believe it or not, summer will be here soon, so *now* is the time to make your summertime plans. I've assembled information about the Pack 923's camping opportunities for 2006.

Pack Overnighter

The pack overnighter is an event organized by the Pack 923 leadership. It consists of activities like fishing, hiking, games, and crafts run by the pack leadership. We typically rent out a portion of the Cub World campground, and equipment like the bouldering wall. New this year, we've rented the bb-gun range. The purpose of the pack overnighter is to give boys an inexpensive opportunity to be involved in fun activities as a pack in an outdoor environment.

Family Campout

The family campout is the most simple camping opportunity offered. The families in the pack decide to camp at the same campground on the same weekend. Everyone is welcome to camp using what ever equipment they're used to (tents, campers, RV's). Each family is responsible for making their own reservations, activity schedule, and food. The emphasis of family camping is on socializing and fun. This is a great opportunity for parents to get to know eachother. The actual campground has yet to be determined. If you have locations you would like us to consider, please contact the planning committee.

Webelos Campout

The Webelos Campout is for Webelos II scouts to practice their outdoorsman skills and to introduce those skills to the Webelos I scouts. The campout involves hikes, crafts, and learning outdoor skills. It is also a lot of fun. The Webelo Den Leaders will give you more information regarding the exact cost and what to bring.

This camp is not an overnight camp, and all the activities are held during the day. Day camps do not include overnight activities.
