I hope everyone had as much fun as I had this weekend. I thought this year's haunted trail was one of our best ever. And you have to admit that Wagon Wheel Lodge is a pretty cozy place to stay when it's cold outside!
***Many thanks to everyone who made this weekend such a big success!***
As you know, boys who sold at least $500 worth of popcorn got to put a pie in my face. Here are some photos from that event (be sure to click Read More to see them all).

Our graduation this year was filled with dreams of flight! We started with a rocket launch. It might have been our best recruiting tool yet, since the baseball practice taking place on the next field came to a grinding halt as the players attention focused on what the cubs were doing. I hope they all tell their parents that they want to join scouts so they can do fun things too!
Then we had our picnic and graduation ceremonies, where we celebrated all those who earned their rank this year!
Finally we had a special treat, as local balloon pilot Ron Terranova amazed us with his hot air balloon! What a beautiful sight it was, too!
Click "Read More" to see more pictures from the balloon glow!

On May 4th, 2007 at the Fort Hamilton Adult Leader Recognition Dinner, Pack 923's very own Kip Shaffer was recognized for his service to scouting. Ohio Senator Gary Cates presented Kip with a Meritorious Service Award, which reads, "recognizing your continuing and dedicated support of scouting in the Fort Hamilton District as exemplified by your enthusiastic expenditure of time and effort in 2006."
